# Soviet Time Retro Filter

Soviet Time Retro Filter is a Chrome extension that applies user-selected, non-political historical visual treatments to the active tab after the user clicks the extension.

Primary user job:
- Apply constructivist, newsprint, archive, or terminal-inspired visual treatments to the current tab.
- Adjust texture intensity.
- Remove the treatment instantly with Turn off.

Features:
- Five presets: Constructivist, Metro Night, Newsprint, CRT 1986, and Archive Sepia.
- Applies only after a user click.
- Uses activeTab and scripting only.
- No persistent host permissions.
- No ads, accounts, extension analytics, remote code, or project backend.

Privacy model:
- The extension does not collect browsing history, page text, form values, cookies, account data, screenshots, files, or analytics.
- The support website may load Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights for aggregate page metrics. That is separate from the extension.

Trust and policy notes:
- The extension is a non-political visual-history filter.
- It does not recreate official services, political organizations, leaders, flags, symbols, or affiliation claims.

Limitations:
- Chrome internal pages, extension pages, PDFs, empty tabs, and some protected pages cannot be changed.
- The treatment is a visual approximation. It does not edit website content.
